I am thrilled to announce that my new novel, The Violin Maker’s Secret, is now a Sunday Times Bestseller!

I spent around 18 months researching and writing this book about a very unique violin and the people whose lives are forever altered by it. I fell in love with this story and these characters a long time ago, but I really wasn’t sure if readers would love it too! So it’s such a sense of joy to see this book strike a chord with people.

It was inspired by an idea – if an instrument could speak, what stories would it tell? I looked to an old folk ballad about a young woman who is betrayed and murdered, her body rescued and transformed into a musical instrument. The story grew from there and, as is my signature style, reached across timelines and borders, uniting characters from different backgrounds to uncover a secret of love and music.
